About Us
Doctors to Dubai is an independent information resource built to help medical professionals navigate the process of moving to and working in Dubai, UAE.
Why We Built This Site
Relocating to a new country as a doctor involves a complex web of licensing requirements, exams, visa processes, and practical decisions about housing, schools, and daily life. When we first looked into moving to Dubai, we found the information scattered across dozens of government portals, forums, and outdated blog posts. Much of it was incomplete, contradictory, or buried behind recruitment agency paywalls.
We created Doctors to Dubai to bring all of that information together in one place — organised clearly, written plainly, and kept up to date.
What We Cover
The site covers the full journey from initial research to settling into life in Dubai:
- Licensing — DHA licence applications, Dataflow verification, Prometric exams, licence transfers, and renewals
- Jobs — where to find medical positions, what to expect from recruitment agencies, and how to evaluate offers
- Salary — realistic salary ranges by specialty and seniority, tax-free income explained, and cost-of-living comparisons
- Visa — work visas, residency permits, Golden Visa eligibility, and family sponsorship
- Living in Dubai — housing, schools, transport, healthcare, culture, and safety
- Specialties — demand, scope of practice, and salary expectations for specific medical specialties
Our Approach
We aim to be practical and honest. That means:
- Writing in clear, straightforward language without jargon or marketing speak
- Presenting balanced information, including the challenges and downsides of working in Dubai
- Keeping content updated as rules and processes evolve
- Not accepting payment from recruiters, hospitals, or agencies in exchange for favourable coverage
